The onsite PV GreenCard training takes place at the Nepoworx facility for the full duration of the course. The course provides our candidates with all they need to know about solar PV systems. This 5 days course covers all the key topics to prepare the candidate to operate as a PV installer.  As a PV installer you will be in a position to liaise with clients, conduct site visits, design & test PV systems for functionality. During the course, there is a big emphasis on practicals. Our course was developed and aligns with the curriculum of the SAPVIA 5-day Solar PV Installer course.

Nepoworx is one of the only three (3) accredited assessment centres in South Africa. The SAPVIA assessment consists of 2 days of examinations (knowledge and practicals). The SAPVIA/PV GreenCard Assessment is the official assessment for one to become accredited as a PV GreenCard installer.

Part Qualification of the PV GreenCard training:

This course qualifies a candidate to operate as a solar PV mounter, who mounts pre-designed PV Systems. At the end of the course the participant will be able to perform the tasks expected of a Solar PV Mounter who mounts pre-designed PV systems according to instructions from either a PV Installer or PV Designer.

This course offers an in-depth but at the same time simplified way to design the photovoltaic systems in any location using a well recognized software. It allows you to perform the entire process of designing a PV system, from the preliminary assessment of electricity productivity to the realization of the project documentation.

The aim of the course is to introduce the attendees to the PV Industry. Understanding the PV systems within the South African solar resource, technical and legislative context. Who should attend: Business owners, people with no electrical or solar PV installation background

The course provides our candidates with all they need to know about how to successfully finance solar PV and wind power projects. This course is highly recommended for middle managers, CFOs and CEOs of small and medium companies that want to make in roads in the solar and wind energy industries. We take you through an indepth understanding of Power Purchase Agreements, the process of raising finance from commercial banks and development financial institutions including due diligene, financial modelling, the Renewable Energy Indepedent Power Producers Programme and the energy landscape in South Africa in detail including the opportunities that are currently in the market.

This 10 days course covers all the key topics to prepare the candidate to operate as a PV installer.  As a PV installer you will be in a position to liaise with clients, conduct site visits, design & test PV systems for functionality.

The target group for the course is as follows:

Graduates with electrical background and with no installation background of PV systems. The course provides in-depth installation experience and design of PV Systems.
