Dear Stakeholders,
As 2025 draws to a close, I would like to take a moment to reflect on a year that unfolded very differently from what any of us could have anticipated. While it brought its fair share of challenges, it also revealed our collective strength, resilience, and capacity for innovation.
To our Board members, employees, partners, funders, clients, beneficiaries, and mentors thank you for your unwavering commitment and belief in our
mission. At Nepoworx, our vision is clear: to ensure that at least one member of every household in Africa can meaningfully contribute to the continent’s GDP. Your support continues to make this vision possible.
First and foremost, I would like to recognise the incredible Nepoworx team. You have been the backbone of our progress in 2025. Every project delivered, every milestone achieved, and every idea brought to life is a testament to your dedication. Thank you for your exceptional contribution.
This year, our organisation celebrated several key milestones. One of the proudest moments was the launch of the NepoXchange podcast an idea born from within our team. We are delighted that each episode reached over 100 viewers and listeners, a meaningful indication that the insights shared by our esteemed guests resonated with audiences. A heartfelt well done to our marketing team. We look forward to returning with an even stronger Season 2.
We also launched Nepo4Change, a programme dedicated to strengthening STEM subjects in rural and underserved communities. This initiative has quickly become one of our flagship priorities. We firmly believe that if we nurture young minds from the foundation phase, by the time they enter higher education they will be equipped to become the innovators and change-makers our world urgently needs.
Our deepest appreciation goes to our partners Siemens Energy, BIC, FNB, Nkube Secondary School, and the University of Venda for helping make this year's Nepo4Change programme a success. We look forward to growing these partnerships and welcoming more like-minded organisations to join us in expanding this impact.
We also extend our gratitude to the strategic partners who began as clients and have since become collaborators. Thank you for believing in our work and for joining us in building the workforce and entrepreneurial pipeline required for Africa’s evolving energy sector.
Of course, the year was not without challenges. National uncertainty around energy policy and the country’s future energy mix prompted deep reflection on how best to position Nepoworx for long-term impact. I am proud to say that these challenges pushed us to strengthen our governance structures, embrace technology more intentionally, and refine our organisational strategy.
As we look ahead to 2026, our strategic priorities include enhanced operational efficiency, a strengthened organisational culture, long-term impact planning, and expansion into key growth areas. We are excited to continue co-creating innovative solutions alongside industry, government, academia, and communities.
This year reminded us that when passionate people unite behind a shared purpose, extraordinary things happen. Thank you for walking this journey with us. The coming year holds even greater promise, and I am confident that our collective strength will take us further than we have ever imagined.
As you celebrate the festive season with your loved ones, I hope you take a moment to reflect on this year with a shared sense of pride and accomplishment.
Wishing you and your families a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
Warm regards,
Nonjabulo Sokhela
Chief Executive Officer
