YMCA is the oldest Christian Youth Development organisation in the world that reaches 65 million young people worldwide. The South African YMCA organization is the branch of the YMCA Global and carries out the following organizational objectives: Youth development through educational, social justice programs and leadership initiatives that help nurture young people and build the skills they need to carry throughout their lives.
The South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) is a not for profit industry association that aims to promote the increased deployment of Solar PV technology in South Africa. SAPVIA is the representative voice of the solar PV industry in South Africa and the advocate for the technology. Driven by its values of consistency, cohesion and collaboration, the association’s vision is to ensure solar PV is the electricity generation technology of choice in South Africa and the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa, in support of the country’s socio-economic development targets.
The South African PV GreenCard is a safety certification, a quality assurance standard, and training programme for solar PV installers. Quality and safety are assured via the specialized education and training provided to solar PV installers prior to them being certified and registered on the PV GreenCard database. This certification means that these installers are proficient and compliant with all of the relevant national and municipal electrical regulations.
Nepoworx is one of the 7 accredited PV GreenCard training institutions nation-wide.
The Youth Sustainable Energy Hub is a flagship project developed by SDG7 Youth Constituency in partnership with the world’s leading energy and climate change organisations. It is the first of its kind global platform showcasing the work of youth practitioners in the sustainable energy sector.
The project will be a milestone for galvanising youth engagement in sustainable energy as we are reaching the halfway mark in the Decade for Sustainable Energy and entering the Decade of Action.
